From Bluewater Sweet Adelines to Acapella Sound

Acapella Sound showcases captivating three and four-part harmonies often referred to Barbershop style. Formerly known as the Bluewater Sweet Adeline’s Chorus, many of our members have been harmonizing together for over 30 years! Since the pandemic, we have embraced a more inclusive identity as Acapella Sound. For the past nine years, we have been guided by the talented Diane Hingston, alongside our former director and current assistant director, Sue Murdoch. Their expertise, commitment, and leadership have allowed us to perform under our new name, Acapella Sound to various local community groups and audiences across Grey and Bruce County.

Our love for singing transcends mere notes; it fosters connections among us, allowing for laughter and growth as a cohesive unit. We cherish the opportunity to meet like-minded women, supporting one another and enjoying shared experiences. Building friendships and uplifting each other through life's ups and downs is just as important to us as the music we create. This sense of camaraderie is what truly sets our performances apart, enabling our audiences to connect with us through the warmth of our friendship.

We take great joy in sharing our music with family, friends, and local community organizations, all with the aim of spreading smiles and joy. Our goal is to create an atmosphere of cheer and harmony, a magic that unfolds when our audiences resonate with the energy we strive to convey during each performance.
